A quick summing up of Trump's energy policies (work in progress):
- Withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement
- Approving the Keystone and Dakota pipelines
- Abolishing Obama's Clean Power Plan (CPP) which aims to reduce CO2 from power generation
- Opening up Federal land, coastal areas (except Florida) and the Arctic for drilling
- The Energy Department's renewable energy office is to be cut by up to 75%.
- Defunding a major study into the safety aspects of offshore drilling.
- Gutting funding for energy efficiency improvements (which have saved US consumers and businesses up to half a trillion dollars)
- 30% Tariffs on imported solar panels
- A list of Environmental regulation changes
- Perry's plan to subsidize coal and nuclear electricity generation was rejected by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)
- Shrinking national monuments so coal mines can be built closer to them
- Relaxing waste water treatment regulation
