So many reasons..
- He had every reason to lie, Dr. Ford has none
- If he was innocent, he would be hell bent on an FBI inquiry, he obviously wasn’t
- He could have voluntarily submitted to a lie detector, he didn’t (unlike Christine Ford)
- Unlike Dr. Ford, there were many questions he didn’t answer, he ducked and dived
- Resorting to a bizarre conspiracy theory that this is all payback for Trump’s victory and the Clintons
- So he turned out to be a partisan hack, and funny enough, that’s exactly why the Republicans rallied around him
- He showed he doesn’t have the temperament required to be a Judge, let alone one on the Supreme Court
- He lied about yearbook entries like devils triangle, boof, and being a girl’s alumnus are crude sexual references which he denied in his testimony
- He also likely lied about his drinking behavior during senior high school and college (and here)
- He lied about other potential witnesses testimony, arguing these provided exculpatory statements, they didn’t
- He lied, denying knowledge of multiple sexual harassment by mentor Kozinski (he went on to hire his son as clerk)
- Republicans could have issued a subpoena for Mark Judge for the Senate testimony, they didn’t
- The FBI investigation was too limited (and here), more likely to be a whitewash. And what else could one expect as those who set the parameters had a big stake in the game
- It’s odd for people like Susan Collins to argue that they believe Christine Ford but that she was mistaken about the identity of her attacker
